amnesty international Germany provides blogs for local chapters

The german section of amnesty international has chosen 21Publish to build a private-label blogging platform. The first step for amnesty will be to provide local chapters with a blog. Intranet blogging as well as blogs for selected members of amnesty may follow once local chapters have taken on the new blogging platform. To view the PR release please click here.

I strongly believe that this is a concept that many non profit orgs will follow. It is a perfect communication tool for all groups and communities that have a message and that are aiming to get more exposure for their message on the Internet.

Thanks for choosing 21Publish!

New pricing scheme launched today

Today we have launched our new pricing scheme offering branded blogging communities for free. Free accounts include up to 100 individual accounts for community members to set up blogs or photoblogs. Plus of course the BlogPortal or community homepage where users register or login and where the community administrator posts news for the community.

Also we have introduced a couple of new templates. I have chosen this one called "green round up" and I hope you like it.

The idea behind the new pricing is to follow the path of personal blog services like 20six or Xanga that offer free entry levels that can easily be upgraded on demand. As far as I know this is a unique offer and I am curious to see how it will be received. It should be a great opportunity for the tons of small virtual communities that do want to offer blogs to their members without the programming and installation hassle and of course with no hosting costs involved.

google adwords sucks

Everyone I am talking to who has ever used google adwords is totally annoyed about it. The interface is total crap, it is really difficult to navigate. But the worst thing is that you never understand why some adwords are ok while others are on hold or disabled. In many cases it makes no sense at all. And sometimes when you launch new campaigns adwords are on hold within three minutes after launch without any explanation why. For the average user there is no transparency at all.
It’s an interesting concept that a product that is so user friendly for the non-paying customer is so user unfriendly for the customers that google makes their money on. As long as google is able to deliver the traffic they obviously  do not need to care about advertisers satisfaction.
